BRUNO GUILLORE

Bruno was a founding member of the Hofesh Shechter Company and has been involved in all of Hofesh’s creations, since the early works of Uprising and In Your Rooms to his most recent piece Grand Finale. He has performed in Uprising, In your rooms, Political Mother, Political Mother: The Choreographer’s Cut, Survivor, Sun, barbarians.
Other Work: Beatriz Consuelo (Ballet Junior de Genève), Richard Wherlock (Luzern Ballet and Komische Oper Berlin), Iracity Cardoso and Paulo Ribeiro (Ballet Gulbenkian, Lisbon).

He danced in works by Richard Wherlock, Guilherme Botelho, Ed Wubbe, Örjan Andersson, Rui Horta, Itzik Galili, Ohad Naharin, Mats Ek, Stijn Celis, Mauro Bigonzetti, Didy Veldman, Marie Chouinard, Clara Andermatt, Rui Lopes Graça, Regina van Berkel and Paulo Ribeiro.

Bruno featured in the film Passengers by Richard Wherlock.

SPENSER THEBERGE

a native of Portland, Oregon, USA,  he began his early dance training at the School of Oregon Ballet Theater. 

He continued his education at the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and Columbia Dance, during which he was named a Presidential Scholar in the Arts and a National Young Arts Foundation awardee. 

Under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes, Spenser earned his BFA from the Juilliard School in 2009, and graduated as a Princess Grace Award ricipient.  Following graduation, he began working with the Netherlands Dance Theater 2, under the direction of Gerald Tibbs.  In 2012, Spenser was invited to join Netherlands Dance Theater 1 by Paul Lightfoot.  During his time at NDT, Spenser created works with Lightfoot Leon, Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, and Alexander Ekman, and danced the works of Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, and Hans van Manen, among others. 

Spenser has had the privilege of performing all over the world for NDT and on behalf of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands and the Dutch Royal Family.  His own choreography has most recently been seen at the Korzo Theater in The Hague.  Since 2013, Spenser has been a guest artist with The Forsythe Company in Frankfurt, Germany. 

In addition, he is working as a freelance teacher, performer, and choreographer throughout Europe and the US.

FABIAN THOME

He made his first dancing steps at age 7.

In 1999, driven by his passion, he continued his training at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza in Madrid, graduated on 2004.
He continued his career as part of the best companies in the country and worked with the foremost
masters of Spanish and flamenco dance such as Joaquín Cortés (2004-2005) in Amor y Odio, Rafael Amargo (2005-2009) as soloist and lead dancer, among many others...
Recognition of his work came in 2009, with the 2nd Prize for Solo Choreography for “Así me
siento” at the XVIII edition of the Spanish and Flamenco Dance Choreography Contest held in
Madrid.
In 2011, driven by the motivation to assert his own style, Fabián decided to form his own company:
Full Time Dance Company.
In 2012, he has been noticed by Franco Dragonne, who invites him on his new production in
Macao: TABOO as dancer and choreographer. Fabian is back in Europe in 2013 and decides to
enrich and develop his skills, mainly in contemporary, working with several choreographers as ,
Sharon Fridman and asistant coreographer Carlos Fernandez Fuentes. Thanks to these
experiences, he realized his will to go into this way in depth. In 2014, he presents his new
production “Entre Sombras” (Best Interpretation Price, Burgos-New York International
Choreography Contest 2014), which offers us a contemporary style with flamenco’s flashes,
reflecting his new language and all his past career.
In February 2015, Fabian participates in the production of Arantxa Sagardo and Alfredo Bravo:
Sbil.la in Switzerland. From June 2015 until now he is working with the company Sidi Larbi
Cherkaoui (Eatsman Production)as dancer and teacher; Since then, he has been involved in
several projects and workshops with my material and with Eastman Production , : Barcelona
Conservatory Madrid, Institut de Barcelona , France , Germany, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Canada,
England, America, Belgique…
In addition, Fabian continues his creation process : UMBRA (2016 - Full Time Company), In
Volution (Danza 180 - 2018) and finally YöY in process (november 2018 Premiere - Full Time
Company)

TOM WEIMBERGER

Born in Israel in 1987.  Tom graduated from the Amal School of Arts and Sciences and joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2005. He danced at Batsheva Dance Company from 2008 to 2011, where he worked with Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal. In 2012, Tom began freelancing and working with Barak Marshall, as well as Company E in Washington, DC, where he set both Ohad and Sharon's work and served as rehearsal director. Tom was a founding member of Sharon's new project, L-E-V, and danced with the Gothenburg Ballet where he performed works by Peeping Tom, Marie Chouinard, and Alex Eckman. He was a guest artist with Michael Keegan Dolan's-Fabulous Beast Dance Theater (2013), with the Batsheva Dance Company (2014) and with the Forsyth Company (2015). He has been a Gaga teacher for the past 8 years, and has taught Gaga and Ohad Naharin’s repertory in schools such as the Netherlands Dance Theater Summer Program (2010 - 2014), the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, the Taipei National University of the Arts and Springboard Dans Montreal.
Tom is a choreographer and began creating through Batsheva Dancers Create during his time with the Company. In 2014 he won the International Solo Tanz Theater Festival with his work Nemek, which has toured in Germany and Brazil.

VELI PEKKA PELTOKALLIO

inizia a studiare danza all’età di 17 anni presso l’Accademia del Balletto Nazionale Finlandese.

Tre anni dopo entra nella compagnia. L’incontro con Mats Ek lo porta al Cullberg Ballet, dove balla dal 1984 al 2003, esibendosi in 30 paesi in 5 continenti.

Oltre ai ruoli principali nel repertorio Ek, lavora diverse volte con Ohad Naharin, Jiri Kylian, Carolyn Carlson e Johan Inger.

Dal 1997 rimonta balletti di Mats Ek in vari teatri : La Scala di Milano, Opera di Parigi, Nederlands Dans Teater, Royal Ballet di Londra, Opera di Monaco di Baviera, Opera di Dresda e Opera di Lione.

Al Teatro Stabile di Torino ha recitato il ruolo di Re Duncan nel Macbeth con la regia din Walter Malosti.

Attualmente è assistente nel Ekodance Project di Pompea Santoro e maitre ospite al BTT diretta da Loredana Furno, e in passato maitre ospite nel Ballet Preljocaj.

Born in Donostia (Spain).

Bask folk dance was his initial approach to dance. His dance formation comprises Classical Ballet studies as well as Jazz, Modern & Contemporary dance.

After dancing with the National Ballet Company of Spain directs his career towards the contemporary dance field, working with different companies and in a variety of productions in Spain.

He studies composition, improvisation and lighting design at Nikolais/Louis school in New York.

Winning the first prize in the VI Choreographic Contest of Madrid, gives him the opportunity to create his first production “Diálogo de sordos”.

Since the past 20 years he has been involved in one way or another with the work of Wim Vandekeybus and his company Ultima Vez.

Currently he combines the assistance to dance creations with his pedagogical engagement: He teaches workshops and gives dance lessons to professionals and in dance schools. Within the teaching frame he has created the pieces: Cyclopes (Tokyo 2010), Jeffrey.1 (Copenhagen 2011), Blik Opener (Antwerp 2014) and Turbador (Brussels 2016).

NOA ZUK

Noa Zuk is a choreographer and a dancer. She was born and raised in Kibutz Sh’ar Ha’amakim in the north of Israel. She began dancing at the age of four, doing folk, modern, ballet, jazz, and improvisation as well as martial arts (she holds a black belt in Shotokan Karate).

At the age of eighteen she began her professional life as a dancer with choreographers Inbal Pinto and Yuval Pick and with the Young Kibbutz Dance Company. A year later she joined The Batsheva Ensemble, Batsheva Dance Company’s junior company, where she danced for three years, performing up to 120 shows a year, in Israel and abroad.
In the year 2000 she joined Batsheva Dance Company (BDC), where she danced for nine years. As a company member under the artistic direction of Ohad Naharin, Noa danced in all of his creations for the company during those years, and was part of the original cast of pieces such as Naharin’s Virus, Mamutot, Telophaze, Three, Furo, and Max. She performed hundred of shows and toured extensively on the company’s many international tours, dancing on the world’s most prestigious stages – BAM (NYC), Lincoln Center (NYC), Barbican Centre (London), Montpelier Festival (France), Reggio Emilia Festival (Italy) and Sydney’s Opera, to name only a few. During her time with BDC, she also worked with and performed works by choreographers such as Mats Ek (Culberg Ballet), Sharon Eyal (LEV Dance Company) Jiří Kylián (NDT), Yasmeen Godder, and Yoshifumi Inao (Norwegian National Ballet).

Noa left the company in 2009 to concentrate on her work as a choreographer. Among her early pieces are O.M.S., A Droom Come Tree, and the trio Boxerman, which was performed by members of the Batsheva Ensemble in NYC. Her collaboration with interdisciplinary artist, Ohad Fishof, on the dance video One More Song was presented in Israel and abroad. In 2010, she was awarded The Schusterman Foundation Visiting Artist Scholarship and spent three months in residency at The Ohio State University in the United States. Her work Speaker premiered in Israel’s Curtain Up series in 2011. In 2012, her new creation for Bern Ballet premiered in Switzerland, and she was also selected as one of ten finalists to present her work in the 5th Copenhagen International Choreography Competition. In the fall of 2012 she had a second artist residency at The Ohio State University, where she premiered NOTHING II, a piece for 15 OSU dancers created in collaboration with Ohad Fishof and performed at the Wexner Center for the Arts. In 2013 she created After Chorus for GroundWorks Dance Theater in Cleveland, Ohio and the solo Nothing III (co-created by Ohad Fishof), that was performed in the U.S., Israel, Russia and China. In 2013 she also premiered the duet Doom Doom Land as part of the International Dance Week in Jerusalem and toured it in Russia, Poland and The Czech Republic. In summer 2014 she was commissioned to create a new piece for Repertory Dance Theater in Utah. Following the success of staging a piece on Singapore’s Frontier Danceland earlier that year, she was invited to create a new piece for the company, together with Ohad Fishof, premiered in November 2014. Her latest work, Garden of Minutes, in collaboration with Ohad Fishof, was premiered as part of the Curtain Up Festival in Tel Aviv, in November 2015.

Noa is also a renowned teacher. She has been teaching composition, technique, and repertory workshops (both of her own work and of Naharin’s choreographies) worldwide, and is a Gaga movement language teacher since 2007.

MATAN DAVID

Matan was born in Rishon LeZion, Israel in 1982.  He started dancing as a folk dancer and at the age of 15 was accepted to Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts.  During these years, Matan also studied at Bat Dor Dance School, and at age 17 he attended the Juilliard summer program.

After high school, at age 18, Matan was accepted to the Batsheva Ensemble.  He performed there for two years before dancing with the main company for ten more seasons.  In the twelve years Matan danced in Batsheva, he was a part of some of Naharin’s greatest creations such as Three, MAX, The Hole, and many more.

 

Since 2013, Matan has been the director of Batsheva – The Young Ensemble, which has become one of the leading young companies in the dance world. The same year he became director, he also won the Yair Shapira award, and the ensemble was named the best performing company by Israel’s Ministry of Culture.

Matan has undertaken a long, meaningful process with Naharin’s movement language and is a senior teacher of Gaga.  He teaches Gaga around the world and is one of the main Gaga teachers for the Batsheva Ensemble.  

SETH BUCKLEY

Born in Canada, Seth studied at Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet school and later at the Palucca Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden. While studying in Germany he performed works from Heidi Vierthaler, Stijn Celis, and Ohad Naharin. After apprenticing with The CCNR/Yuval Pick and the Saarländisches Staatstheater Saarbrücken from 2014 - 2015, he danced for 2 seasons with the wee dance company/GHT Görlitz-Zittau as a soloist where he worked with choreographers such as Shlomi Bitton, Hillel Kogan, and Noa Zuk. In 2016, Seth co-founded EYAS Dance Project, a contemporary dance company together with Carlos Gonzalez. Since its beginning, EYAS has participated in a number of festivals and competitions within Europe including the 'Krakow International Choreographic Competition' and the 'Gothenburg Fringe Festival'. In the Fall of 2017, EYAS had its first international tour to Taiwan with their work titled 'Persona'. A part from being co-artistic director of EYAS Dance Project, Seth is also currently freelancing as a dancer, teacher, and choreographer. 

OHAD FISHOF

Ohad Fishof  is an interdisciplinary artist, working in a diverse range of fields including dance, sound, performance, video and installation. He began his artistic career as a musician and performer with the pioneering Israeli art-pop band Nosei Hamigbaat. He later moved to compose music for dance, performance and art installations while at the same time, expanding his artistic endeavors to other media. In 1997 he received an MA in Dance from Laban Center London. He spent the following years creating dance and performance pieces as well as sound and video installations in London, where he was then based. Home, His performance collaboration with the artist Uri Katzenstein, was presented as part of the 2001 Venice Biennial.

Over the last fifteen years, Fishof has been consistently expanding his ever-growing body of work – a difficult-to-categorize continuum of idiosyncratic time-based art, ranging from live music to site-specific performance work, video animation, installations, dance pieces and soundtrack work.

In 2005 he performed in London A Slow Walk for Longplayer, a performance work commissioned by Artangel. In 2006 he created the multimedia piece SU in Tokyo, in collaboration with Japanese artist Uzo Ishiyama. In 2007 he formed Bney Hama with fellow musician Ishai Adar – an electronic avant-pop duo in which he plays circuit bent instruments and sings. His installation and performance project Memo was one of the highlights of Art TLV 2008, Tel-Aviv’s first Art biennial. In the same year Fishof was named Chosen Artist of the Israel Cultural Excellence Foundation. In 2010 he presented the installation The Sauna at The Petach-Tikva Museum and was granted a visiting artist residency at the Department of Dance in Ohio State University )he returned to OSU two years later for another residency period). His short film Abduction won first prize for Best Experimental Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival 2011. In 2012, together with Noa Zuk, he created the dance Nothing II; Premiered the audio-visual solo performance A Lecture on Architecture and performed it in Israel, Japan and The USA; And won the Ministry of Culture Award. In 2013 he presented four new works: The  Duck, a light, text and sound installation in Ashdod museum; Slow Walk Rothschild, a short film documenting a performance piece created during the social uprise in Israel in 2011; The Dance solo Nothing III (with Noa Zuk); And the short film Nothing.

His latest solo performance evening, a double bill that includes his most recent performance work HD, was premiered as part of Print Screen New Media Festival in 2014 and later presented as part of Batsheva Dance Company Hosts season as well as in the Tel Aviv Museum. The dance quartet Garden of Minutes, Fishof’s latest choreographic collaboration with Noa Zuk was premiered in Tel-Aviv in November 2015, to critical and audience acclaim.

Fishof is a long-term collaborator of Batsheva Dance Company and its artistic director Ohad Naharin. He designed the soundtracks for Naharin’s Three, Max, Seder, Furo and Telophaza, and served as a dramaturge for the latter, as well as for Naharin’s solo evening Playback, where he acted as musical director. Fishof is also a teacher of Naharin’s Gaga movement language, and had taught Gaga classes and workshops worldwide.

Fishof lives and works in Tel Aviv. He teaches in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design and and is Head of New Media studies in Hamidrasha Art College.

MICHAEL LOHER

Michael Loehr is a contemporary dancer who is collaborating with a number of international choreographers and companies. Enjoying the challenge to adapt to different surroundings and to switch between styles, his way of moving is characterised by both an emphasis on clarity and the joy of embracing the awkward. 

He is a choreographer with a big interest in autonomous choreographic structures and a focus on discovering rather than executing. His creative skills are channelled in his own choreographies, a variety of projects that he accompanies as choreographic assistant as well as in numerous collaborations as a performer in works that require a choreographic vision.

YANIV ABRAHAM

Yaniv Avraham started dancing in Karmi Machol Karmiel, a folk dance academy and company, and he continued his training between 1999-2001 at the Mate Asher School of Performing Art (MASPA) alongside the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company on Kibbutz Ga’aton.  In June 2001 he joined the Batsheva Ensemble and in February 2003 was promoted to Batsheva Dance Company, where he danced until July 2010.  While with Batsheva, Yaniv performed works by artistic director Ohad Naharin, house choreographer Sharon Eyal, and guest choreographer Mats Ek.  In recent years, he has performed in the works of fellow Batsheva alumni Noa Zuk and Gili Navot.  As a dancer, he has received grants from the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Education, the Sharett Foundation, and the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
Yaniv choreographed several works for Batsheva Dancers Create from 2004-2010.  Since leaving the company, he has created new dances for MASPA and Florida University, and his solo Somersault (2013) was performed in several festivals at the Suzanne Dellal Centre in Tel Aviv, Dance Makers in Amsterdam, and MDF in Reggio Calabria (Italy). Yaniv has taught Gaga, Ohad Naharin’s movement language, to both dancers and non-dancers in Israel and internationally, and he has also taught Naharin’s repertory.  He has taught for dance companies including Batsheva, Carte Blanche, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and Cullberg Ballet and at dance departments at schools such as University of Florida, Jacksonville University, Tisch (NYU), and University of Southern Florida.  He has led master classes and/or workshops in Australia, Singapore, Japan, Russia, Serbia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and the U.S.
Alongside his ongoing choreographic work and teaching, Yaniv is currently the artistic director of MASPA.

PAU ARAN GIMENO

Was born in Barcelona, Spain. He began his professional path in dance through ballroom dancing where he reached international competition level in ten different styles. 
This led him to study dance in Barcelona, and at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid where his interests began with classical ballet and developed towards an interest in contemporary dance and contact improvisation.  
Following his studies he continued to explore the form of dance in France and Germany before becoming a permanent performing member of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch in 2005.
In addition to performing with Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, Pablo currently teaches, conducts workshops, and participates in various artistic projects in Germany and abroad. 
His goal is to further develop his own movement language which he has been nurturing the last years in Germany, and to continue to reflect upon the ideas, inspirations, and influences from his colleagues, artists, and the masters that cross his path.

SHARON VAZANNA

founder & creator

Founder of Sharon Vazanna Body in Dance and a member of The Israeli Choreographers Association. Sharon and her team have performed across Europe and the USA in diverse festivals and venues. Vazanna holds an M.A. in Choreography from the Jerusalem Dance Academy. Graduate of the Rotterdam Dance Academy (B.A), Vazanna was a dancer at the Cullberg Ballet in Sweden and the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company in Israel. She worked with Choreographers Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Alexander Ekman, Mats Ek, Anouk Van Dijk, Idan Sharabi and others.

Vazanna was an artist in residence as part of a program made possible by the Israel Institute and the Schusterman Foundation at The Muhlenberg College, Pennsylvania in 2016. In 2017 Vazanna was commissioned by the Delattre Dance Company in Mainz, Germany.

In 2018 she created MONSTER, the creation is invited to perform in Switzerland, Russia and Australia during the 2018/2019 season.

DOR MAMALIA

Dor is the winner of the Israeli Ministry of Culture prize for 'Best Cast Performance’ in 2014 and 2013. He also received an 'audience award' at the Copenhagen Choreography Dance Competition 2014, and he is a winner of ZOA scholarship for young artists in 2006. As a dancer he worked with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company directed by Rami Be’er, and with Vertigo Dance Company directed by Noa Wertheim. During his dance carrier he had a great chance to perform in pieces made by William Forsythe, Marco Goecke, Emanuel Gat, Susanne Linke and many other.
He has been working with Idan Sharabi & Dancers as a dancer and teacher since 2012. in 2014-2015 he was teaching in NDT2, The Royal Danish Ballet, The Danish Dance Theatre, New Dialect, Contemporary School of Hamburg and many more.
Dor is a certified Pilates Instructor (Mat and Machinery), and a Thai Massage Therapist.

REBECCA HITTING

Born in Huskvarna, Sweden in 1982, Rebecca graduated from Balettakademien, Stockholm. After finishing her studies she worked with Kamuyot/Rikste- atern, Carte Blanche Dance Company, Norway, Batsheva Ensemble, Batsheva Dance Company and GöteborgsOperans Danskompani. During her time with Batsheva and Ohad Naharin she studied GAGA and is now a certified teacher

BRIAN ARIAS

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Bryan moved with his family to New York City at the age of nine. While growing up Bryan was exposed to many urban and social dance styles, receiving his formal dance training at La Guardia High School for the Performing Arts.

As a dancer, Bryan went on to perform with Complexions Contemporary Ballet, before moving to Holland to join The Netherlands Dance Theater (NDT), and most recently over the past four years with Crystal Pite’s company Kidd Pivot. He has originated roles in and performed in works by notable choreographers including Jirí Kylián, Ohad Naharin and Crystal Pite.
As a choreographer, Bryan is the recipient of the First Place and Audience Choice awards for his work ‘Without Notice’ at the Sixth Copenhagen International Choreography Competition (CICC), winner of the Hubbard Street Dance International Commission Project, and a finalist for the Rolex mentor and protégé award. He has choreographed for Hubbard Street 2, Netherlands Dance Theater 2, Ballet Vorpommern (Germany) and The Scottish Ballet. With upcoming commissions for Tanz Lucerne Theater(Switzerland), Charlotte Ballet and The Juilliard School in 2017.
In November of 2013 Bryan debuted the ARIAS Company based in New York City. The company is currently in their second production, a full-evening work titled ‘a rather lovely thing’ which was commissioned by and premiered at Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival. The work was reviewed as “Arias’s approach is similar to the magic mixture in Wes Anderson’s films: The silliness is graced by sincerity, and the poignancy glows with humanity”(Boston Globe). The company has toured internationally to Canada, South America and Europe with an upcoming tour scheduled for September 2017.

BOBBI JENE SMITH

Bobbi Jene Smith was born in Centerville, Iowa. From 2005-2014 she was a member of the Batsheva Dance Company under the artistic direction of Ohad Naharin. She is an alumnus of the Juilliard School, North Carolina School of the Arts, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School.  Her choreography has been presented by The Batsheva Dance Company, PS122 COIL Festival, A.R.T, The Israel Museum, Luminato Festival, The Wild Project, Machol Shalem, Sacramento Ballet, The CCA, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. In 2017 she became a founding member of the American Modern Opera Company (AMOC).

 

Bobbi’s film and video work include, “Annihilation” directed by Alex Garland, “MA” directed by Celia Rowlson-Hall, and “Yossi” directed by Eytan Fox. The documentary "Bobbi Jene" which follows Bobbi’s trajectory of leaving a dance company to create her own work, swept the Tribeca Film Festival, winning best documentary, best cinematography, and best editing in 2017. In 2018, Bobbi stars in the feature films, “Mari” directed by Georgia Parris and “Aviva” directed by Boaz Yakin.

 

Bobbi has been a certified GAGA teacher for the past 13 years and has taught Ohad Naharin's repertory in schools and universities around the world. She is part-time faculty at the Juilliard School, and guest teaching at NYU and UArts. 

GUY SHOMRONI

Guy began dancing with the Batsheva Ensemble in 2001 and joined the Batsheva Dance Company in 2004, where he worked with choreographers such as Ohad Naharin, Sharon Eyal, and Yasmeen Godder. He also created ten original short pieces for Batsheva’s annual Dancers Create evening.  In 2013 he served as Ohad Naharin’s assistant for the creation process of The Hole and in 2015 for the creation of Last Work. Since leaving Batsheva in 2012, Guy and his long-time colleague Yaniv Avraham, also a former Batsheva dancer, have collaborated on two projects.  In June 2014 they presented Kuntz, a duet danced by themselves, at the Zira Festival in Jerusalem.  In November 2014 the pair premiered a work entitled Vellum, created for 8 dancers, in Moscow.

In 2015 Guy again served as assistant to Ohad Naharin, setting his work Minus 16 on the Nürnberg Ballet and Ballet Zurich.  Guy has been teaching Gaga internationally since 2002. 

JERMAINE MAURICE SPIVEY

Jermaine was born in Baltimore, Maryland USA and is a graduate of Baltimore School for the Arts and The Juilliard School. From 2002-present, Jermaine has lived and worked predominately in Europe but recently returned to make his home base in the USA.

He has been a company member of Ballet Gulbenkian and Cullberg Ballet, worked as a freelance/guest artist for Hofesh Shechter Company, Robyn Live 2016, The LID, Arias Company and The Forsythe Company from 2013-2015 as well as a cast member of American Repertory Theater’s original production The Shape She Makes conceived by Susan Misner and Jonathan Bernstein.

Most consistently since 2008, Jermaine has been a member of Crystal Pite’s company Kidd Pivot. He has also worked as rehearsal assistant and staged Crystal Pite’s work for companies such as Cedar Lake Ballet, Carte Blanche, Hessisches StaatsBallett Wiesbaden and Netherlands Dance Theater.

Jermaine has instructed dance across North America and Europe for professional companies, universities, studios and training programs including The Juilliard School, UCLA, NYU Tisch, Baltimore School for the Arts, LA Dance Project, The Performing Arts Project, MOVE NYC, No)one. Art House, Nuova Officina Della Danza, Dance OUT, Salt Contemporary Dance and GöteborgsOperans Danskompani.

He is a 2001 Princess Grace Awardee and a 1998 National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts 1st Level Awardee. At this moment in his career, Jermaine is very grateful for the opportunity to explore choreography, having most recently created for Westside Dance Project, Salt Contemporary Dance as well as a full evening work premiered at Disjecta in Portland, Oregon with his partner and co-creator Spenser Theberge titled Rather This Then.

SITA OSTHEIMER

Between 1993 and 2001, German-born Sita Ostheimer studied at Dr. Hoch's Konservatorium and the university of Music and Performance Arts in Frankfurt am Main,Germany. In 2001 Sita joined MS Schrittmacher (Oldenburg), a physical theatre company under the direction of Martin Stiefermann, with whom she worked for four years. She spent two years with Galili Dance (Itzik Galili) devising numerous works such as ME, FRECKEL HUNTERS, SHAKER LOOPS, EXILE WITHIN, FOR HEAVEN’S SAKE, YOUR PLACE MY PLACE, HEAD OR TALES and choreographing her own work CLOSING TIME in 2007. Sita then spent one year in Amsterdam with Kristina de Chatel. In June 2008, Sita joined Hofesh Shechter Company. She was part of the creation and tours of works such as IN YOUR ROOMS, POLITICAL MOTHER, ART OF NOT LOOKING BACK, CHOREOGRAPHERS CUT and SUN. For the IN GOOD COMPANY evening of Hofesh Shechter, Sita created NOBLE THINKING (2011), ACCOMPANY (2012), and DISSIMILAR FOXES (2014). Since 2012, Sita's freelance work included research and performance with the National Theatre (UK), IT NEEDS HORSES by Ben Duke, numerous short films, her creation METANOIA premiered in Norway. She also re-stages Shechter’s work such as SPLINTER at Edge London, IN YOUR ROOMS and UPRISING at NDT I , DOG at Staatstheater Kassel / Johannes Wieland, VIOLET KID at Ballet Basel.2014 Sita has been the rehearsal director at Staatstheater Kassel / Johannes Wieland. 2015 she is the touring rehearsal director of Shechter Junior and created CODA together with Hofesh Shechter. Her last work UBUNTU was created for the BODHI PROJECT Sead Sita teaches regular professional workshops and classes worldwide.

DOUG LETHEREN

He is from New Hampshire, USA and studied at St. Paul’s School and the Juilliard School, where he received his BFA. He worked with Aszure Barton and Mikhail Baryshnikov’s Hell’s Kitchen Dance before joining the Batsheva Ensemble in 2007. Doug danced in Batsheva Dance Company from 2008 to 2012, where he worked with Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal, and became a student and teacher of Gaga. He is now a founding member of Sharon’s new project, L-E-V, and has been assisting her in creations for companies such as the Gothenburg Ballet, Nederlands Dans Theater 2, and the Royal Swedish Opera. Doug also teaches Ohad and Sharon’s repertory in schools and universities around the US. He is a recipient of the 2007 MOVADO Future Legends Award, nominated by Mikhail Baryshnikov.

SHARON EYAL

Sharon Eyal was born in Jerusalem. She danced with the Batsheva Dance Company from 1990 until 2008 and began choreographing within the framework of the company’s Batsheva Dancers Create project.Eyal served as Associate Artistic Director of Batsheva between 2003-2004, and House Choreographer of the company between 2005-2012. In 2009 Eyal began creating pieces for other dance companies in the world: Killer Pig (2009) and Corps de Walk (2011) for Carte Blanche Dance of Norway; Too Beaucoup (2011) for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and Plafona (2012) for Tanzcompagnie Oldenburg, Germany. In 2013 Eyal launches L-E-V with her long-time collaborator Gai Behar. This October, they premiered Untitled Black in collaboration with the Goteborgs Operans Danskompani in Gothenburg, Sweden. Eyal is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2004 Ministry of Culture Award for young dance creators and the 2009 Landau Prize for the Performing Arts in the dance category. In 2008, she was named a Chosen Artist of the Israel Cultural Excellence Foundation.

ERION KRUJA

Born in Albania/Tirana where he studied at National Ballet School and danced in the National Theater of Opera and Ballet.
Experience: Erion danced different styles in companies such as: Albanian National Theater of opera and Ballet, Compagnie Linga, Chemnitz Ballet, Bern Ballet and he 's currently dancing at Hofesh Shechter Company. 
After many years experience as a dancer, he's now exploring to find his own movement language and  to develop his career as a choreographer.

PHIL HULFORD

Phil has trained from a young age in gymnastics and then moved onto dance at age 18. He trained at the London Contemporary Dance School where he met Hofesh Shechter. He worked full time with Hofesh from 2006-2016 doing a wide variety of productions and touring internationally, teaching, and creating small works. He is now a freelance movement artist enjoying challenge and new things!

EDOUARD HUE

Edouard Hue lavora come ballerino con la Hofesh Shechter Company, Damien Jalet e Oliver Dubois. Ha ricevuto lo Swiss Dance Award 2019 “Danseur Exceptionnel”.

 

Il repertorio della Beaver Dam Company comprende attualmente otto brani presentati a livello internazionale.

 

Crea anche per altre compagnie e coreografi, come Ballet Basel – Basel, Gauthier Dance Company – Stoccarda, Frontier Danceland Company – Singapore, Yoann Bourgeois – Grenoble e la prossima stagione per l'Opéra du Grand Avignon.

ADRIANO P. RUBBIO

Nato nel 1993 a Siracusa, in Sicilia. Dopo una prima formazione in danza urbana, hip hop, si avvicina alla danza contemporanea. Dal 2015 al 2021 ha ballato presso la Compagnia Zappalà Danza di Roberto Zappalà. 

Balla in tutte le produzioni più importanti della compagnia, comprese le nuove creazioni e brani di repertorio. Tra il 2016 e il 2017 collabora come danzatore freelance con la compagnia INTERNO5 di Napoli, su coreografia di Antonello Tudisco. 

Nell'estate del 2017 entra a far parte della compagnia londinese Jason Mabana per il progetto “Requiem for Aleppo” del compositore David Cazalet. Dal 2018 è anche assistente di Roberto Zappalà durante workshop in tutta Europa.
